Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and
join The African Rafting Company on this magical sea rafting trip from one of
Cape Town’s blue ribbon beaches, Bikini Beach.
Where:
We leave from beautiful Bikini Beach and
paddle in a south westerly direction towards the mouth of the
Steenbras River. Weather permitting we will round the point and turn
around at Steenbras.
The False Bay coast is renowned for its
rugged, but awe-inspiring coastline. En route we can expect bottle
nosed and common dolphins, cape fur seals, southern right whales and
the occasional great white shark.
The trip:
Not straying too far from the coast, we
explore the little bays and coves on the way to Seal point. The
cliff jump we encounter en route is not for the faint hearted!
Depending on tide, this 15m plunge into the emerald waters of False
Bay will give you a natural high for days. On return to Bikini
beach, we will reminisce on the wonder of the deep blue over a glass
of sparkling wine and fresh fruits, cheese, smoked oysters and
biscuits.
Equipment and guides:
We make use of 2-man inflatables that are
safe, easy to control and very comfortable. 2 qualified guides will
escort all trips and make sure everyone enjoys the beauty of False
Bay. All other equipment including personal flotation devices (life
jackets), paddles and cooler boxes will be provided.

1. Minimum participation of 4.
2. Normal booking procedures apply.
3. Added tours can be arranged, i.e. a
sunset cruise on a motorised catamaran, restaurant meals, kloofing
excursions and wine tours.
